Byrd looked over at Mish, all curled up and sleepy. She looked so cute. He smiled at her, lovingly, but then scowled at himself and looked to the ground. That damn feeling again... No no no!

[/b] He thought, I'm supposed to be making friends! Love is completely out of the picture right now! He shook his head violently and shoved the side of it into the nearest tree. He sighed as his head pulsed with pain that he pretended not to feel.

Mish understood that he felt a war within himself and decided it was best... "I...I hope we meet again." Mish stood up and licked his ear with awkward affection. She didn't want her friend to leave, in fact she finally admitted to herself that she wanted Byrd more than just a friend. She looked at him guiltily as she tried to sort out her emotions.

Byrd blinked, and his heart seemed to stop. He removed his head from the tree and stared at Mish. Her look of guilt struck his heart with a bullet. He faced her and rubbed the side of his hear to her own and lay his head on her shoulders. How to shake off the dreary look on his face he did not know. Until up to now he'd never really "been with" a girl. he was just all talk. This one was special though...

I don't have to leave, you know...but we're not even accepted into his tribe yet. Where will we go if I stay with you?

"I really don't know." she sighed. Mish was delighted that Byrd felt the same way about her but she also knew that they needed a pack to live in. "Is there a place that no one has settled yet?" she asked hopefully. It was one of her wildest dreams to be an alpha but she would settle for any way to be with Byrd at this point. So this is what love is like...

I think the Talemeln tribe only has two members... he said, bringing his head back up to see her face, but if you want to be an alphess you're going to have to leave me. Or we'll just have to run away from this place. He touched her nose with his own

"I'd never leave you." she rubbed against him. "We could try to be accepted to the Talemeln Tribe." Mish had new confidence since she had met Byrd and she was willing to try to get into a pack with him. "How do we go about seeking acceptance to their tribe?" she asked blushing. The young wolf had never been accepted before so she decided that she must be doing something wrong. "And, if we ran away from here, where would we go?"

I don't know where we would go. he replied, rubbing against her in return. I suppose we would try the Talimeln. The alpha is fairly nice. I've heard from the crows.

He trotted out of the cove they laid rest in, into the pouring rain. He looked back at Mish, still standing.

So, Shall we try it? He smiled, for the first time in a long while.

OOC: Omigosh! I've been gone so long.

"Of course!" she replied. Mish couldn't wait to seek a new tribe. She shook her coat and little rain drops splattered on to the ground. "If he's nice we must have a chance..." she murmered hopefully.
