The flakes rained down gently, drifting on the wind easily as the wolf willed it to bend. He stepped slowly and carefully over the ice, lest he should slip on the treacherous surface. It was so beautiful, though. Pale purple eyes squinted as he looked up into the black, snow-clogged sky. The gold bracelet on his wrist was cold, it chilled the skin beneath his steely blue-gray brindled fur.
Yoko sighed, letting his head drop back down and picking up the pace a little. Dark night closed in on all sides, cold and forbidding; but the wolf hardly cared. He was from the Ribeyako and was built for such cold circumstances. He would be there still, if he had been able to grow wings like his brother, Aero. Maybe that way his mother would have loved him; but that wasn't what had happened and wishing wouldn't change the past.
Unsheathed claws scratched the ice, gouging small tracks and dusting the surface with particles of soft white. Yoko let the winds drop for a moment, letting the snow land on his hunched shoulders and head and tail. Yoko whistled, scratching at the ice distractedly. Life was good, because he wasn't dead and he didn't have any regrets, right?
Damn, it was cold out here.

The stars twinkled above the large brute. His light chocolate brown orbs gazed at them in an almost longing manner. He was fully grown, yet still had the heart of a pup as he allowed his song to pass through his lips. Light gray and white body was seated upon the fluffy snow covered ground. Frederick was his name, but he prefered to be known as Fred or Freddy.
Fred was homosexual, one reason he and his twin brother George had been exiled from their Clan. Fred sighed softly as he looked down at the snow covered ground in a dejected manner as the memories flooded his mind. He finally stood and padded away, wandering like a lost puppy, but boredom and curiousity drove him on. His tail was held high like a banner, ears pricked forward, and his eyes peering through the snow as he continued on....

The crumpling dream spins in the Blurred sky faraway and the sky grows dark. The vanishing existence soon fades Away. Even now, I dont realize the fact that All my cries meant nothing.
Yoko's breath fogged in front of his face, and his body was chilled by the collected snow on his back. He shook himself, shivering slightly. Ears perked up suddenly and the wolf's head jerked up: he cast around with widened eyes. Had he heard footsteps? Just imagining things?
Yoko's ears laid back against his skull, and the steely blue paws were again set into motion. He padded through the dark, snowy silence with his eyes fixed on the ground. They glowed slightly, reflecting whatever light source there was that isolated the ground from the sky.
Yoko had grown, but he was just barely normal. The wolf was slightly taller than normal, and extremely slender. Yoko, while he was bare inches over an adult male's head; was scrawny and weighed probably about half of that male. He had narrow, elegant features that could easily belong either to a femme or a brute. Eyes told the world his sex, though. They had the pride and the understanding that could belong only to a male, if not a leader.
Yoko stopped. He thought he had just heard the crumpling of snow again--a footstep. He looked around, confused.
The clear unreachable darkness I sneak a peek between the fingers. The RED rips Through into this world. Wet from The rain. Can my lingered hope be a lie too?

Fred lifted his head and howled to the full moon once again. He knew his brother could hear him but George was probably ignoring him. He shrugged and began to run, kicking up snow behind him. He decided to leave his painful memories behind him as he allowed his puppish heart to take charge, causing him to bark and play in the snow the way he used to when he had been little. Fred rolled over onto his back and started to roll in it, covering his light gray fur in white for the fun of it....

You are weak But stay as you are Can you hear? My rusty voice cries out to you Can't make it into words But I just want to feel you
Yoko had been about to go and investigate the mystery; when a more recognizable sound erupted to the side of him. The brindled wolf yelped in surprise, jumping up and slipping on his landing so that he landed with a blunt thump on the smooth ice. He pulled himself up with a groan, looking around in the direction the howl had come from with some consternation. Curious but wary from experience, the wolf padded off in the direction of the howl. He heard barking and the smooth sounds of movement. Yoko straightened up and edged closer nervously. He nearly tripped over the splayed limbs of a gray and white wolf playing in the snow; but collected his elegant frame fast enough to keep his feet.
Yoko jumped back, purple eyes widened in surprise; but collected himself quickly and quietly. He watched the wolf, realizing he must have been the one who howled. Um . . . hello.
deep blue The things I can't forget are too painful deep blue What voice, what words will you use to talk to me

Fred's ears pricked at the sound of a voice. This caused him stop wriggling in the snow and get to his feet. Fred cocked his head to one side as he looked at the other wolf. He shook the snow from his coat and took a deep breath. "Hello." Fred replied politely....

Where is the philosophy of spring? The long lost promise It cannot be heard anymoreu
Yoko shuffled his feet awkwardly, banner swaying low behind his rear legs. The wolf realized he was staring at the other, and quickly averted his gaze so as to not seem rude. Soon enough though, the purple lamps had returned to their previous site and he did not seek again to correct them.
Yoko opened his mouth once, then closed it. He looked shaken; running into very polite strangers at night on the glacier of all places was not something the young creature had done before. Nevertheless, he was curious about the stranger. Now that he was standing, Yoko could see that the other wolf had brown eyes, and gems of a similar color. Unlike Yoko; he was not adorned with white and gold but with bronze and golden-brown gems. Yoko was probably taller than him, for all the Ribeyako wolf could tell, but this other was like most others of a more firm frame. Once he had finished surveying the other, Yoko blinked and shifted slightly.
I um . . . what are you doing here? Wasn't that a stupid thing to say! But he couldn't think of anything . . .

"I had been thinking about my past. But then I decided to stop thinking about it and play in the snow. What're you doing on the Glacier?" Fred replied, his ears flicking as he gazed at Yoko with a curious and pupish look. It wasn't everyday that he saw a wolf that had the unique colorings that this one had....

Dreams and aspirations Your ideals in the big sky Passionate Red The one I loved so much... Ideals being sweeter then candy are just ideals
Nothing just . . . walking. Yoko replied, tilting his dial slightly. A slight wind blowing out from the insides of the glacier ruffled his fur; the blue ears swiveled down to pin to his head. He quickly and easily shielded himself from the wind, without thought. It was almost subconscious.
Yoko glanced around the other wolf, feeling decidedly awkward as the other looked at him. Yoko had become more and more reserved and quiet as he grew; and the soft and caring center was buried deep underneath a protective and wary shell. He had had no defenses as a puppy, and now he seemed cold. But Yoko didn't mean to be. This wolf seemed to be nice enough.
Getting some time away from my brother, I guess. And just thinking. He added decisively, nodding a little to emphasize his point; whatever that was.
Noone wants the present

"I see, kind of what I'm doing. I have a twin brother who seems to be ignoring me at the moment. He's off somewhere, probably looking for a male to be with." Fred repliedin a serious tone. He pawed at the ground a bit, his tail swishing to and fro, sweaping the snow away from where his tail was resting. "Do you like the snow?" Fred asked curiously....

It melts into the layers of white Undesired The stuttered truth means the opposite Love to smile
Yeah, I guess you're right. Only my brother doesn't like other males . . . just females. He doesn't like to be around me much because I do. Yoko shrugged, looking down at his paws briefly before looking back up. So this other wolf had a brother, too. Maybe his brother was as big an asshole as Aerokone was. Only that wasn't kind . . . Yoko did love his brother. It was another thing that was buried deep down.
By the way, my name's Yoko. The wolf continued, quietly. Snow dotted his head and back, but the slender creature didn't bother with shaking it off. It wasn't enough to cool him off, not in his element. I do like the snow. He whispered, gathering up a pawful of the stuff and letting it fall back to the glacier gently.
But I can't go back It's going far away unable to reach I want to fall asleep in the innocent gentleness with the tears

"Name's Frederick, but you can call me Fred or Freddy. Both my brother and I like males, that's why we were exiled from our clan." Fred replied, revealing a bit of his past to this stranger. That was usually Fred's downfall because he was usually overly friendly and wolves like to take advantage of that, George was the same way as well. Fred dipped his muzzle to the snow, lapped some up, then resumed to look at Yoko....

Without a Face Voice trembles Without a Face Voice vibrates My heart has left me believing there is a reason to be strong
I'm really sorry, Fred. Yoko replied, speaking to the other wolf's chin. The wolf felt embarrassed to be so childish as he was; but simply could not help it. It was more a part of him than many other things. He did look up, though, meeting the other's eyes firmly. I was banished from my tribe, too, because I didn't have wings. Aero left with me, because we were so close then. Yoko smiled slightly, showing short fangs. They were dulled slightly because Yoko had a habit of chewing: on rocks, branches, bones. Everything.
Feeling a small burst of socialist courage; Yoko ventured to sit down. He sank to the ground gratefully, spreading front paws apart to better hold him up on the slippery ground. His ears twitched; shaking off the snow that had gathered there. So I'm guessing you didn't live around here, right? Yoko asked, genuinely curious.
I can't open my heart My past is my weakness I can achieve what I want but The kindness I hold fast to will surely disappear The unsurprising answer is after you die, you'll be born again and start with tabula rasa.

"No, I'm not from around here." Fred replied, shaking his head to rid his fur of the snow that kept falling on him. Couldn't the stupid snow fall else where other than his head? No matter, Fred loved to the snow no matter how much it matted his fur. "I don't mean to pry, but when I mentioned my brother looking for males, did you say that you liked males as well?" Fred asked in an attempt to confirm his curiousity....

I tried so hard to bear with it. I even put out my hand. But what it all comes down to was now; we're in hell under his control. So this is the end I tell you, Lights will be turned off and the stage turned to darkness.
I figured. Me neither. Yoko replied, ears pricking up when he heard Fred continuing. The blue-tinged wolf looked up, and smiled again. Yeah, I do. I'm sure I would have been kicked out eventually for that, even if I had wings. He blinked, rubbing a snowflake out of his eye with his left paw. Finally the wolf tired of the light rain of snow; and surrounded himself with a gentle wind that pushed them away from him as they fell and brushed them off of his back.
Yoko looked at the other wolf, Freddy, curiously; looking for some change of composure. It was quiet on the glacier; with only the sound of snow touching the ground to fill that endless intermission.
Until our voices go out, at last. Let's sing until our voices go out.
