Marie ran and splashed into the bug muddy puddle. She knew she was filthy, but the fleas could go away.
She felt the mats in her fur disappear as she shook herself repeatedly, though she didn't really feel clean. The sand in the water just mixed with her wintry fur.
I like it here... Marie said to herself as she shook once more in the sandy water. She looked around at the trees and up at the clouds in the clear blue sky. I think I'd like to stay...I wonder where I could find the alpha here.

(ooc.... nobody replied to my alpha post so I'm going to assume that Kelil is now the alpha of the Tailmeln)
A little while ago, Kelil had claimed alpha of the Tailmeln tribe. He was now exploring his territory, which included the watering hole. He enjoyed the green forest and the clean crisp air. Upon finding the watering hole, he had at first noticed the clear water and the sandy bottom. Kelil heard splashing noises and took a closer look. Now he saw the petite femme who was rolling around in a mud puddle. He laughed to himself. He began to approach her, and decided to call out from across the watering hole instead, to avoid startling her. Hello there, Kelil called, his warm and friendly voice booming across the clearing.

OOC: ok sounds fine with me :) Marie's ears be came quickly alert upon hearing the sounds of the male. She turned around and smiled at him, Hello there sir. Her high voice often reminded others of a small field mouse, but it was just low enough to suit a growing femme as herself.
What brings you to these pleasant grounds mister? Marie walked out of the water to greet him properly, shaking the sand and water from her sugary coat and trotting toward him.

Kelil smiled at the small and polite femme. He walked around the muddy edge of the watering hole to meet her. I am Kelil, and I recently became the alpha of this territory, said the large wolf.

She blinked as she looked at him and tilted her head a bit as if she didn't understand, but she did. Completely.
I don't mean to sound so urgent, sir, but could you maybe accept me in this tribe? Marie looked down and pawed at some ants in the grass, feeling butterflies in her belly. She wanted to snap at them, but to bring herself shame! Oh, she could never forgive herself for and act upon that nature in front of the alpha! But still, besides ignoring the butterflies that itched at her insides, she kept squishing and killing the ants who were now in utter chaos below her.

Kelil saw that she looked rather anxious about the ants crawling around near her small white paws. He was pleased though when she requested to be part of the tribe. Sure. You can be part of the tribe, he said. He then plopped down on the ground and sighed. Although I suppose it isn't really a tribe yet, considering its only members are you and I. Kelil desperately missed being a leader. When Kelil had objected to his tribe's alpha (Kelil's grandfather) encouraging the practice of force-breeding he had been banished (along with a few other wolves) from his tribe never to seen his parents or younger sister and brother again. He had led a small group of wolves to these lands, where they had disbanded forever. They had been his childhood friends and he missed them sorely. Kelil had been miserable ever since.

Marie smiled from ear to ear, but noticed that Kelil looked depressed. She walked up to him and inspected his eyes. Are you okay? Marie sat down next to him and awaited his reply.

No. I'm not really okay. Haven't been okay for a long time. He looked into her eyes with honest misery, sighing deeply again. Kelil felt kind of weird talking about his depressed state of mind to this young femme. Quite a few moons ago he had been with his old friends, but they had all left him. I was sent away from my old tribe a while ago. My friends and I traveled here, but when we arrived everybody went their separate ways. I haven't seen any of them since.

Oh...I'm very sorry to hear that... Maire looked down at her dripping little paws, her transparent claws barely noticable. I suppose there's no way I can help, is there, sir? She looked at him sadly, wishing that she could somehow make him forget.

No. I'm sorry, there really is nothing you can do. I do appreciate you wanting to help though. Its just going to take some time for me to get back to the way I used to be, I guess. Kelil got up and sat down closer to the water gazing thoughtfully at his large blurry reflection. He put his paw in the water to wash the wet sand off and his image rippled with the rest of the water. He felt a little better now, and thought that the white femme might actually have helped his spirits. So, he said. What's your story Marie?

Marie sighed and looked towards the clouds, My father was an alpha, but my mother was not of the same tribe. They kept their love a secret until they ran away from it all. Marie looked down once more to notice a bee on a dandelion not far from her. She blew on the bee as it rose from the weed. Well, long story short my mother and father were captured by aliens and I was forced to leave because I didn't belong anywhere. She laid her head on the grass in between her paws and closed her eyes.
I suppose I was just...too different.

Oh...said Kelil. He wasn't very good at comforting others. Kelil could barely deal with his own emotions, let alone soothe those of everyone else. He always wanted to make things better for everybody; he hated seeing another wolf in pain, even if they were a complete stranger. I'm sorry. So... Are you hungry? I sure am, he said in an attempt to lighten the mood. Kelil bounded off into the wilderness to catch something to eat, looking back a few times to see if Marie would follow him.

Kelil laughed, watching Marie hurry to catch up with him. Thank you, he said, chuckling and slowing down a little. And please Marie, would you stop calling me sir? It makes me feel old. Just then Kelil spotted an animal moving in the brush. He crept closer being very careful not to make any noise. Kelil sprang suddenly on the small deer and brought it down with ease. He twisted its neck in his strong jaws and it became lifeless. Kelil began to eat and invited Marie to join him.

Marie trotted over to the miniature feast and gnawed on the ear, before saying with her mouth full, Oh...schorry shir...Ah mean...Kerir. She smiled and chuckled nervously before swallowing the ear whole and taking a large piece of flesh from it's neck.
