I could hide myself and see who this is, she thought to herself. She concentrated and the grass around her sprung up thickly, obscuring her legs. She crouched down in it and waited for the other wolf to show himself. Little did Alyss know that her white pelt still stuck out like a blaze, like a patch of snow - which would be really out of place here.[glow=green,3,000]+[/glow]

Radical trotted toward the swamp, planning to splash and play like a pup in the murky waters. He did this when being alpha got stressful.

Since the wind had been traveling in her direction, not his, the brute only noticed her when he saw her. Her white coat reminded him of Blanche... The startled leader composed himself quickly and barked, "Hello, there." He had become used to finding strangers on his land. He saw how she was tensed and inwardly snorted. Radical had no intention of fighting the smaller fem.

Radical concealed his chuckle with a cough. He never thought he would be interrogated by a stranger in his land, but he went along with it. "I'm Radical. Yes, I live here. I'm alpha." he said it matter of factly, with no brag in his voice. "Now, may I ask what you're doing here?"

I really needed a drink, so I just came near as soon as I scented water. I've been traveling for a long time since that monster dog showed up in my old pack's area. Alyss bowed her head, ashamed. She'd sworn to herself no more impudence, look where it'd gotten her last time! And now, she'd done it again, and to an alpha, at that!

Radical's features softened a bit, all of his pack members had come from harsh times. "Does that mean you're without a home?" he said it in a conversational tone, but there was meaning behind his words. Radical looked at her thoughtfully. His pack was growing fast, even though it consisted of three members. He had gotten them very fast though.

"Just curious." the brute said. It was obvious he was leading her to ask to join. Once he had a stable amount of members, he reasoned with himself, he would stop asking wolves to join.

Alyss didn't know that Radical wanted her to join, she was just a young wolf, barely out of her puppy stage. However, she did inadvertantly help Radical. Um, since I'm without a tribe, can I join yours?-I mean...if you want me and there's room... Alyss asked hesitantly. I really need the protection of a tribe, I've grown up in one and I'm not used to being a wanderer. Alyss almost shuddered at the thought of being a wanderer for the rest of her life-no friends, no fun, the only comfort would be seeing many places.
