Continued from "Usobekujo is now claimed by Nereus"

Nereus was returning from patrol when he saw a stunning white wolf with tan markings and wings sleeping in his new territory. Nereus was a little startled-he now had to take on more alpha responsibilities, it wasn't all patrolling and that's it. He would have to question this femme.
However, this wolf did not seem to have malicious intentions-she had not even taken any prey from his new territory. Nereus sat down to wait for her to wake up-he still wanted, and needed, to know, What is she doing here?

Wint lazily opened her eyes to see a large, black, winged manen towering over her. Her mind flashed back to where she was. Wint suddenly jumped up, Who are you? Wint didn't think he was threating but one can never know.

Nereus flapped his wings impressively and replied, I am Nereus. The alpha wolf of this tribe, the Usobekujo. Nereus acted like he was unconcerned about the himself, but really he was scared. What should he do if this pretty femme decided to attack him, to steal his land? Or if she suddenly turned tail and ran, what should he do? Nereus really didn't want her to leave. He really needed members, but he couldn't think of a way that he could ask without showing weakness. Being an alpha isn't all it's cut out to be. It's nice having your own territory, but there's so many obstacles you must overcome! Nereus then asked, What's your name?

[Yami]

The alpha! Wow he sure acted strange, or maybe nice. The last time she was trying to join a pack the alpha kicked her out.
I'm Wint, from lands far away It was true she had flew miles to get to this place, hoping to find a home.

Didn't you have a pack, then?, Nereus asked, Or were you a wanderer?

What? Kicked out? Just because there was too many wolves? Nereus uneasily walked away two steps, what if that wasn't it, what if she did something bad, then remembered he was an alpha and hid his movement by sitting down. He glanced at Wint cautiously, I still see no harm in her...she is rather pretty...then Nereus shook his head, Can't think stuff like that, she's just a stranger! Meanwhile the other wolf started to say something. Oh, I'm sorry. What did you say?

Yes Wint nodded. They said that I was, oh I don't know! A threat?! Just because I got uneasy and snapped at wolfs that got too close. She sighed Maybe I was too harsh but... She seemed to pause and think. Well I started to live alone then I guess change my ways, but still they wouldn't let me back in. Said I was lying. Her face darkened
then she continued screaming now But I'm not!! I swear! They think I'm dangerous!! A monster!
Exhausted she collapsed sobbing I'm sorry It's just... arr He'd probably kick her out now. But it felt so good to tell some one about her past.

Nereus twitched his ears, startled, when Wint started to shout. He sympathized with her, although maybe, just maybe, that other tribe had kicked her out for a good reason. they should have let her back in though, when she mended her ways. That does sound unfair if you mended your ways, said Nereus, You can have a home in my tribe if you wish. Nereus tried to sound unconcerned about what she chose, but really his heart was beating like a hummingbird's wings. If he was lucky, she would be his first tribe member!

Wint looked up, had he just offered her a home? Yes he had. Thank you! I will! She instantly jumped up and shook her coat I really mean it, thanks a lot!

Nereus smiled at her excitement, then took a more serious expression and said, Well, since you joined my tribe I must tell you that you will have to work your hardest until I-no, we-get more members. You can still quit if you wish, but if not, please go on hunting patrol near the lake-in that direction-and bring it back to near the sleeping caves. I'll go hunt near the Big Stone. Nereus set off after seeing what Wint did.
