Prideful and lost

Pride walked along the icy plain tearing up ice with his claws in frustration. Why! he thought angrily. Why did I have to be a runt! It was true Pride was small. He also was now muscular from training. No one had ever really cared for him. In fact his mother when she saw he was the runt picked him up and threw him out of the cave. Then he had wondered angry and abused along the icy land. It had always been his home. No matter what happened Pride was a strong manen now. Now he wanted to see if there were any other manens on this icy world. He knew he stuck out like a sore thumb because he was black had blue eyes a small orb on his butt. But he was determined to find another manen. He always longed to meet someone nice. Now he hoped he might.

Lar watched from her little ice mound. She had just recently became an adult so she decided to look for a mate. Now she was watching looking for someone.

I smell manen! thought Pride happily. With that he ran towards the smell and almost collided with a white manen. Sorry I did not see you there. He said as he looked at this manen.

[Yami]

Gosh! Look where your goin- Lar looked at this manen carefully. He wasn't the biggest male around. But Lar felt a special connection to him. Sorry she blushed didn't mean to yell

Its ok. He said. Whould you like to walk with me? He asked. She looked like she was with no one. He looked around and said Is there someone with you?

No I'm on my own. I have a brother at my tribe but no one is here. They started to walk alone the snowy mountain Whats your name?

[Xiao]

Pride. He said. What is your name and what are you doing here? He asked. As they continued walking. He did not know why but he felt happy for the first time in his life.

[Yami]

My mother called me Lar She whispered I though it was time I should have a mate. Lis's nice but I think I need someone more

[Xiao]

Oh. Said Pride it is time for me to. My mother said I will never find one. I will never believe her though. Are you cold? He asked because it was freezing.

Well. He said. My mother never wanted anything to do with me because I was a runt. Also there is a cave over here. He said as he led her to it. This is my home. He said as he showed her some nests he made and a little storage spot where he borough her some rabbit. Hungry? He asked as he put the rabbit next to her.

[Yami]

Lar sighed. Not all wolfs were as nice as others. She ate her rabbit quietly and then fell asleep.

[Xiao]

When he saw her fall asleep Pride quetily slipped out of the cave and sighed. He would be back before she woke up he thought to hiself. With that he quitly slipped out in to the night.

Lar woke with a start the cold breeze blew and chilled her to the bone.
She looked around she felt warm and safe. but were was Pride?
