Celestial Evershine Nausicaa is her royal name
Yet she merely goes by Nausicaa
Made as a femme
Black fur on her back and the backs of her legs turns to grey as it reaches her knees and elbows. Her throat, scruff and muzzle are touched by this twilight hue. Her eyelids are dusky orange, as are her eyes themselves.
White stud and silver hoop show her the patience and calm of the heavens above. A white stud with silver casing reveals her peace-loving nature, though her silver bracelet and psychic orb prove that she has the potential to be a feared and respected enemy.Nausicaa is very calm and patient, as is evident when you first see her gems. She is a tolerant individual, and it is quite difficult to bother her with badgering and verbal pestering. This tolerance is tried, however, when she views the prejudices other wolves hold against each other and to other species. She has a moral consciense, but is intelligent enough to act wisely when she is angry. Nausicaa is somewhat reserved with strangers, but knows that fear of betrayal should not keep someone from living a full life, so she does not have walls around her heart. Even though she never enjoyed a life with a large group, she subconsciously often comes to the front as the leader in small-group situations unless there is an ambitious member who barges in front of her.
Nausicaa was born as the princess of a Tribe far away from the lands of the Scribes. She was treated wonderfully when she was young, and was given everything she wanted. She knew not of the prejudices her pack held against winged wolves, and knew nothing of the position she was expected to hold. All she truly knew was that she was happy for the time being, and as far as she was concerned nothing could change - but it would be nice if her parents would give her a younger brother, as she had been asking for! Being the only child was not fun.
When she hit the year-old mark, though, her life changed. Nausicaa began training to become future Alphess of the pack - long days of physically intense battle training followed exhausting mind games to get her intelligence up and become a skilled thinker for the Pack. She often asked why, and the answer was always the same - if she was to rule the Pack someday, she must know how. However, she was always ignored when she insisted that she never wanted to rule the pack. She was the eldest - indeed, the only - child, and there was no one else to take the throne when her parents died.
Nausicaa hated her training, and she grew to realize that what she truly wanted was a life outside of a Tribe, living by her own means as a wanderer. She often wished that her parents would have another child who would take the throne in her place. To her surprise, her wish came true - her mother became pregnant with her baby brother Halius. He was a rambunctious and ambitious young pup who wore a brown stud and silver hoop on his ears and an orange gem on his neck. He was eager, self-assured and confident, and wanted the position that Nausicaa was destined to hold.
When they were both old enough to understand that their parents wanted Nausicaa and only Nausicaa on the throne, the two of them had a strained relationship. Halius was good with the position as leader, and passed tests easily that Nausicaa never could. It was quite obvious that Halius was much better suited for the position that he wanted. The two of them began appealing to their parents the idea that Halius should take the throne instead when their parents died.
They had just started to consider it when Halius began to show signs that he was growing wings. Their parents were shocked and angry, and he grew to be shunned by his packmates who used to love him so much. This unwarranted prejudice angered Nausicaa, and she had a hard time controlling her fury when she discovered that her parents were required by the pack's traditions to either exile or kill Halius, for he apparently held a demon inside of him. She told Halius of this - and they thought up of a plan for him to get his desired position and for the Pack to shed their former prejudices, as well as for Nausicaa to get what she had realized she truly wanted.
The two of them and a few other wolves went hunting one afternoon - the afternoon just before the ceremony that would either exile or kill Halius. They wandered in the way of an angry bear, and Nausicaa bravely went up to it and began attacking. When she was hit by the bear's claws, she staged her wounds to make them seem life-threatening rather than relatively minor, as they actually were. Halius immediately came to her 'defense', and ended up killing the bear to protect the princess. But it was too late, he said, for she was already dead.
Nausicaa felt somewhat guilty as her Packmates fled wailing from the scene, but not enough to keep her from getting up and walking away. She would live her own life, away from her prejudiced pack. Before she left, she gave a final prayer to help her brother. And Nausicaa left without a trace, walking silently into the life that awaited her.
