When you try your best but you don't succeed When you get what but not what you need When you feel so tired but you can't sleep Stuck in reverse...A large, white muzzle snuffled around in the fresh, cold, powdery snow. Small, graceful snowflakes drifted down in the frosty air; landing on her back and disappearing. Sullen eyes and a large, black neck were forced upward towards the never-ending gray sky. Inhaling the crisp clean air, she let out a sorrowful and lonely moan, hoping someone -- anybody, would hear this call of desperation and agony. <ooc : I'm trying really hard to be way more descriptive ><" Okay... now... pick an option! (RAWR D:< ) 1. I like it! Keep up the good work! 2. I don't like it. Don't change the way you roleplay! >

((3. What I said over PM xD Yeah, sorry it took a while =/ This post is kinda bleh, since my muse just died.))
I know your past, the point of breaking into pieces I know you feel like there's no reason even worth this A lone figure glided over the ice-cold air perhaps a thousand feet above the frozen surface of the Glacier. Even in this wild and untamed land, her fur shone gently as a result of many meticulous groomings and good meals. She was a wolf who wasn't used to the hard life that others had, though she was ready and willing to join it. However sullied her fur grew, however little her eyes shone at the end of it all, she wouldn't give up. She had left a life not worth living, and believed to be entering one that was.
A howl floated up from the ground, just barely audible over the howl of the ferocious Glacier winds. She looked down to see a faint spot of black - and, if she wasn't mistaken, a bit of purple - in the middle of the blinding white of the rest of the Glacier. Scanning the horizon surrounding her, she could find no other wolf who could have emitted the howl. Folding her wings half into her side, she angled her body down towards the surface of the icy ground and tried not to let herself accelerate too much. The air here was far too cold to go down as fast as she would have liked to, for it would chill her skin through her fur and possibly give her hypothermia.
At last she was at the surface. Flaring her wings, she gently thumped her paws against the ground and looked around for the dark speck she had seen from the air. When her eyes fell upon the wolf, standing perhaps a few hundred feet away, she immediately started towards him - or her, she wasn't sure yet. Whoever it was, it made no difference, for she needed someone to guide her through this strange land.
She was Persephone, fallen from the lands above. And she was ready for a new life.

And the tears come streaming down your face When you lose something you can't replace When you love someone but it goes to waste Could it be worse?
A quiet sound emitted from behind Balor, one that resembled a landing. Balor had heard of wolves who bore wings; but she herself had never encountered one. She let out a short, distinct howl as she trotted towards the white shape in the distance. The black, white, and pink burly wolf skidded to a stop, a couple feet in front of the wolf. She sat down and bowed her head in respect. She was in no condition, nor wishing to fight this creature. She immediately spotted the wings that jutted possibly two feet out of its back. " Hello" she spoke quietly, and kept eye contact with the winged wolf. " My calling is that of Balor." The words came out too fast; Why the hell introduce yourself when this wolf hasn't told you its own name!?
She looked at the wolf and sat down, gently scratching her ear.

<<ooc: Mind if I join in? Alpine is half Manen, half Border Collie. Somewhat niave.>>[glow=blue,1,300] Alpine crept through the snow, her coat mostly standing out but partially hiding her. She had been alone for merely days since her mother had died - Alpine was young, but not a pup anymore. This didn't change the fact that the world was too strange for her. Every manen wolf she had met yet had treated her as inferior, and Alpine couldn't tell why. Hunting, Alpine suddenly heard a lonely howl-moan, and changed her direction toward it. Coming closer, she heard the voice of one wolf. If she was not mistaken, it was the same one wo had howled, but she couldn't make out what she was saying. There was the scent of another wolf along with her. Alpine considered revealing herself to these wolves, and finally decided to do it. Hello, she said, standing up and showing herself. She took three paces forward, her eyes sparkling, her body language friendly. Who are you? she asked, then added, My name's Alpine. [/glow]

<btw : Balor is a girl > And high up above or down below When you're too in love to let it go But if you never try you'll never know Just what you're worthAs Balor waited for a response from the winged wolf, a small, high pitched voice of a young wolf rang out a couple feet behind her. Balor grinned at the sight of two wolves now; for she immensely enjoyed company. " Hello. Who are you? I'm Alpine." she had previously heard the small wolf speak. Balor sat down and scratched her ear again, staring right into the auburn eyes of the wolf that stood only a couple feet away. " My calling is that of Balor; and I know that of nothing about that femme standing over there. What brings you here, young one? It is usually snowing profusely. Are you cold?" Balor's eyes had changed from welcoming to serious. " Come, child. Do not wander these lands; you may stick with me.. or us. It all depends if that winged fae decides to join us or leave us."

((Rrgh. Sorry it's taken a while, unexpected things have come up.))
And when you cry The tears that fall don't even touch your pain Persephone stood silently as the wolf came over, dipping her head respectfully, and introduced herself as Balor. Briefly she noticed her odd coloring, but dismissed it just as quickly - as far as she knew, every other wolf in this land was just as strangely colored. She hadn't been to the lands down below her former home in the clouds very much, and it would be foolish to assume that every land was the same.
Deciding to return introduction with introduction, she opened her maw to reply - when her ears caught the sound of another wolf approaching. Her head tilted in curiosity - this new fae's shape was rather unusual. However, Persephone had never seen humans or the wolf-descendants that they fostered in return for companionship or aid with some other aspect of their life, so she was ignorant as of her origins. She nodded in acknowledgement as she gave her name, and listened patiently to the brief exchange between the two strangers as the black-and-purple femme responded to her query.
Finally, Persephone answered. "My calling is Persephone. I have no heading as of now, and I would be glad to join your on your travels for the time being." Briefly she wondered with curiosity what these travels would lead to or bring to her, and a smile touched her face at the thought of the adventures she might have. However strange and frightening starting anew was, it was at the same time exciting and wonderful.
