Yoko blinked, confused, at Death and then at Aerokone, who was nearly exploding with anger. Yoko muttered that his name was Yoko,
Aerokone's fur stood more and more on end as Death talked, until finally the cinder-gray puppy was bristling and looked nearly twice his size physically and in ferocity. As Death started to march off Aero yelled Well who needs you! and started to march in the opposite direction, tail held high and paws raising little dust clouds. Yoko, drooping, plodded off in a straight line, away from the other two. However, unknown to all three of them there was a fourth wolf. He was watching them with pale blue eyes from his shallow cave underneath the red earth. Deathwish was watching them, from where they couldn't see.
Aero was flagging a bit, but his rigid face was set just as much as Death's. His eyes were set straight forward, away from the other two.

not many times had alaska been around other wolves save for his brothers. he didn't often hear any voices except his own, shift's sarcastic comments, and colt .45's soft, wisdom-filled bark. but the voices of other wolves was still strange to him. he had shown to be the dominant puppy of the litter, shift coming in a close second, while colt was the wise and respected one. it was hard not to respect him, alaska thought grudgingly. he almost always made the right descision, and his advice actually helped in sticky situations. why was it that the weak ones were the smart ones? alaska wanted to be the most respected of all, and if colt wasn't around, he would be: he was strong, fast, and fierce, and his stubbornness could last three lifetimes. he showed the wolves in higher positions of power all the respect they deserved - which, albeit, wasn't always a lot. so what, he wasn't the smartest? so what, he couldn't hand out advice like strands of fur off his back? so what...
colt, in alaska's opinion, wasn't even the best-looking. conceited as he was, alaska thought alaska was the best-looking. he had the same pale blue, soul-filled eyes as his brother; his pelt was much handsomer, colt's was just red with ugly gray splotches; alphas weren't smart, they were strong, proud, and good-looking. that was how it went...wasn't it? but other sounds broke his train of thought, sounds of...other wolves? in this hellish place? no, it couldn't be...the heat was getting to alaska, his pelt wasn't made for this kind of climate. but as he squinted his eyes, he could make out another puppy trekking purposefully in his direction. another puppy was behind him, looking slightly confused. a white one stood behind them. the gray wolf brightened up a bit. hey! he howled, gaining speed until he was flying towards them. hey! was their journey coming to a close? would they find a home here? no, alaska thought to himself, it's much to hot here...perhaps a cooler place, wherever these wolves are going.
a dark red puppy trudged smoothly along beside alaska. he was like the gray puppy's advisor, only he didn't advise him, he was just as strong as him. shift's teal eyes were half-closed lazily, his long legs barely lifting his paws off of the ground in the blazing sun. he was quite different from alaska, both in looks and in persona, but he was still his faithful, sarcastic brother. the lanky pup bared his teeth - which were beginning to grow, showing signs of long fangs - trying to somehow cool down by silently snarling at nothing. he cast a glance around the place: hot, dry...a desert. damn the heat, shift growled irritably, his tail lowered. the gem on colt's chest glinted in the sunlight, and the glare of it caught shift's eye every now and then, making him blind for a few heartbeats. the only jewellery he had was an earring on his right ear, just like alaska and colt .45 had, and that wasn't blinding anyone.
suddenly alaska sped up, catching shift's eye and confusing him quite thoroughly. alaska! he barked. where are you going? he shot after his brother, and then he saw the wolves ahead. life on this godforsaken place...huh. that's something new, he mused silently. he slowed down to a lazy trot, letting alaska do all the introductions and crap. he would just sit behind his brother and nod when his name came up. that was how it always was with meeting new wolves; colt would shuffle his fur, embarrassed for some reason. but that was colt, he was just weird.
the 'ugly gray and red' puppy - according to alaska - plodded on behind his brothers. he stopped every few steps, wiggling tiny little stumps on his shoulders, the walked, disappointed. colt .45 knew he was growing wings, and he couldn't wait. he wished, however, that his brothers would, too - perhaps then alaska wouldn't be so jealous of him. colt didn't like alaska being unhappy; he didn't like anyone being unhappy, really. he loved to please others. the puppy stopped again, but this time he didn't wiggle his shoulders. he lifted his muzzle, scenting the air cautiously, and just before alaska started to gain speed, he whispered, wolves! finally, the company of other wolves besides his brothers, who, despite his everlasting patience, were beginning to get on his nerves. he sprang forward to lope along beside shift so that their routine introduction ritual could take place - that was, if the other wolves didn't leave first. demona was getting to him, and his dark pelt made it even worse - though shift, he thought, must be even more uncomfortable. who are they? colt barked quietly to shift, his gem glinting more than ever causing shift to growl. the puppy looked down at his chest, then let out an embarrassed yip. i'm sorry! he whimpered, slowing down so that, hopefully, it wouldn't be in his brother's eyes so much.

-fights to match long post- ahahaha! >xD-Miku recoiled further beneath the earth, feeling unstable as the footsteps of those above rocked his fragile shelter. Pale eyes narrowed into slits, sliding along the white edge that was the peephole--the opening. Crumbs of red broke from this rim and shattered on the cold ground that supported Miku; his sanctuary and his prison, now that there were so many of them. With such a crowd, it would be better to just wait as he was. Underneath the soil this wolf was relatively safe: and the others didn't know about him. The beginnings of fangs caught the light as thin lips spread upwards into a grin; but then the white harks pricked and the blue eyes widened back again. Black nares pressed to the sandy, crumbling edge, Miku watched the newcomers come into his line of vision.
Yoko, I think I need you. Aerokone doubted what his eyes were telling him, and figured it was the heat getting to him at last. And it would completely spoil his chances to beat Death if he fainted just like the air conditioner that was running over as fast as the heavy air would allow. Yoko panted quietly as he drew up to his brother's side, looking up sideways from under the fluff of fur, damp with sweat. Aerokone was still squinting at the shapes as they grew closer, and only noticed the smaller wolf when the reminding cough was executed twice. Turning to Yoko, Aerokone whispered his directions for some air, just not enough that Death would notice.
There had been no water since entering the desert, but the short rest had helped Yoko to recover at least a little bit. Summoning up the new strength, the sand-splashed puppy directed a swift current of air to swirl around them. He could only direct air; temperature was not Yoko's to command and so the air was hot. But a hot breeze was better than sweltering, the concentration and energy being used was not wasted. Glaring at the horizon with a puckered frown on his small face, Yoko felt his concentration wane. There was something moving, coming toward them. The hot wind flagged and died; but this subtle change went unnoticed by Aerokone, who had pricked his ears. He turned to his younger sibling, who was trained on the distorted figures as they drew nearer.
Hey Yoko, I think they're wolves!
Yoko nodded, brow furrowing, then took off at a galloping run towards the red shapes. They were close now, and very obviously wolves. Aerokone ran after his brother, quickly overtaking the shorter and less athletic specimen. Yoko stopped suddenly, letting Aerokone go on. He would wait to see who these new wolves were.

(OOC: my god, all the pups are rounded here; not a single fem either o3o;; 'n did I say welcome? Welcome, Nava! <3) Death whirled 'round, his eyes narrowing at the thought of other wolves. He started to trot after Aerokone, and believe it or not, Death found Aero more of a comfort than a threat; threat he may be but he was stronger than Death and he knew it. Rather stick behind a stronger pup then get battered to death by an adult, huh. Yoko was also somewhat of a protection; he looked like a smart one. In fact, Death wasn't really good at anything. Persistence, sport, brain activity--the only thing he was good at was bullying, and to an extent even that was bad. His whip-like voice slashed the air as Death snarled, "Eh, go away! This group is only for the sophisticated wolves."
He shoved himself between Aerokone and Yoko and pushed his snout in the air before they were even close enough to see each other clearly. Obviously the pup didn't want any other intruders. The less in the group, the more chance of survival. Or was it the other way around? Whatever. His tail was raised as a sign of dominance over other pups as he screeched, "You're not welcome here!" Paws scraped heedlessly against the dry dirt, sweaty fur mingled with his peers'. It was going to be a long, dry night. [/size]

[ooh, nava! never heard that name before, i like it. xDD usually i'm navi or, when people are all sophisticated and distinguished and polite, i'm navarina. but i like nava! xDD ugh, this post is kind of yucky. but i'm helping a friend out with her site c:]
colt's smile returned. the so-called 'aerokone' was coming towards them, while 'yoko' waited. but then a white puppy burst his happy bubble. "you're not welcome here!" with a nervous glance at his stubborn and proud brother in the lead, colt darted forward in a sprint that quickly overtook alaska. he knew that the gray wolf would only make matters worse. coming to a halt in front of aerokone and sitting lightly, colt .45 nodded politely then frowned. i am sorry if we are disturbing any of you, he said softly, emphasizing the word 'disturbing' slightly. but we are only looking for the companionship of other wolves. i assure you we are sophisticated enough for you, and after all, sticking together is better than being out alone where any adult wolf could pick us off? the smallest out of the three brothers looked hopefully at death; perhaps he would have the compassion to let them stay with the little group?
while colt sprinted past him, alaska stopped and stared in disbelief after his brother. a mix of disgust and anger was mixed into his expression. show-off, he thought frustratedly, and furrowed his brow. i'm alaska, he barked roughly as he came up beside his weaker brother, sending a glare in death's direction. and why shouldn't we be welcome here? we've got the same problem as you: getting out of this hell. 'least, that should be your problem, unless you're completely out of your mind and like it here. alaska smirked at this and thumped his tail on the ground once. the gem on his chest glimmered as he moved. but as he glanced at colt, he was met by a stern look in his brother's eyes - identical to his own - and he snorted, hunching over to show how disgruntled he was.
shift, during all of this, was slightly amused. colt's taking control, alaska's bad reactions, it was all very predictable to the red puppy, and it entertained him. not that he found his brothers' bickering and fighting funny, he just thought ... no. he did find it funny. was that so wrong? guys, he barked coolly as he padded softly to colt's other site, please, don't fight. smirk. give peace a chance, will you? his tail thumped against the ground and continued to do so while alaska looked at him, leaning back to avoid colt's eyes. shift winked at his brother. always being more of a ladies' wolf that his brothers, he was slightly disappointed that there weren't any females here...the glacier would be full of them, he guessed, but he was not old enough to breed. too bad.

{{This is kinda attached to a story a wriing right now called wait for me :DD I like adding on to other entrie though}}
Scythe and Torien made their way through the rought dead plants that were scattered about Demona. Torien didn't like it here much.The air felt strange on his fur, like something was brushing up against his pelt. He jumped at the sight of movement, and this confused him because he never did things like this back in the forest. Torien looked at Scythe. He was a strong wolf, big and well-built. He had this authority that surrounded him, and strangest of all, he seemed comfortable in Demona. Had he possibly been here before?
Torien looked ahead of him. He stopped. There were shapes in the didstance. He strained his eyes to make out what creature ot was. He gasped. Those were wolves! He almost howled his joy. They had been traveling in Demona for almost five days now and they hadn't seen a single other wolf! As he looked farther on, he could see that there were maybe two groups, and they weren't yet full-grown. Why were they here? His thoughts were interrupted when Scythe turned around and asked why he had stopped. 'Didn't you notice? There's a group of wolves up ahead!' Was Toriens answer. 'Oh, I noticed. But don't get any ideas, we'll be staying far away from other wolves while we're on our way to the Dark Empire.' Torien frowned and licked his lips. The Dark Empire was where they were going to become Demon Wolves. You gained accesss to the dark magic inside all wolves, on the condition that you followed Lord Daemar's orders. In Torien's rage, his mind had been twisted with thoughts of revenge. He would find Shadow and Soria, and get his revenge, and if that meant becoming a Demon Wolf, So be it. But he wanted to know what why these wolves were here. He had thought them to be the only wolves traveling through this dark realm outside of the Dark Empire. Couldn't there be a chance that they could become possible allies? He stared longingly at the possible company. 'Come on,' Scythe growled before turning back around. 'We have quite aways yet.'

(I'm glad you're making a book... have you registered these characters yet? Just for reference? ^^ Nice writing, by the way.)

(s'true on the registering. ^^ Good post though!)
Aero was ignoring Death, grinning at the other puppies as he held himself up; swelled and proud. Yoko growled when Death shoved him, the first anger this small puppy had showed since encountering the other wolves.
Stop being such an idiot, already! Yoko glared at the white wolf for a minute, before glaring at the ground in pent-up frustration. His pale eyes smoldering, Yoko retreated into himself; having taken as much of everyone elses' bullshit as he could for the time being. Without really thinking about it, Yoko stiffened, ready to be kicked or smacked. He was used to it, being smaller and quieter than the others. Being pushed around was a part of life; he'd gotten used to it when he still lived in the Ribeyako with his family.
Who are you guys? Where did you come from? Aerokone was being overpowering, again. He narrowed blue eyes, nodding his head quickly. We want to get out of this hot place, so if you know what direction you came from, it would be a great help. We really have to get out of here, it's just not right for wolves to live.
Miku smirked in his burrow. But he didn't say anything.

[XD so true!!] Akuma flew on high over the red land, keeping a watchful eye out for any souls foolish enough to enter hell. Motion below caught his eye, and he circled, looking all the world like a massive bird of prey. Below him were one, two, eight pups?! What the hell?! PUPPIES?! In DEMONA?! A terrifying orange lamp twitched. Wonderful...Just when he decidedly did NOT want to lay eyes on another whelp, there were eight of the damned idiots in his domain! Fools! Did they not know to fear him? Not know that if they entered Demona, HE would come? Sis they not know to fear the very thought of his NAME? He, Akuma, the Devil incarnate HIMSELF?! This would have to be rectified...and soon...

{{I’m not writing any books, I’m just 12 yrs old! :D What I meant was on Scribes I was writing thread called Wait For Me and so far there are 4 or 5 parts in different chat rooms lol I can see how I might have mislead you by saying ‘story’}}
Scythe growled threateningly, but Torien wagged his tail. ‘We came from that way,’ he pushed his nose North. Scythe spun around and whacked Torien over the head with a big sheathed paw. ‘Idiot! What did I just say? Come on, we’re leaving!’ But Torien didn’t want to leave. Much as he wanted his revenge, he needed as many friends as he could get, and if these wolves had lasted this long in Demona without a guide they had to be tough. He turned and whispered rapidly in Scythe’s ear. ‘Don’t you get it? They could come with us, at least to the Dark Empire. If we ran into trouble on the way I doubt anything in Demona could be fought off by two lone wolves! You said yourself, We’ve been lucky to last this long without being attacked!’ Scythe grunted his agreement, but sounded pressed. ‘Fine.’ He addressed the wolves across from them. ‘We’re on our way to the Dark Empire. There is a portal inside, but its only accessible to the Demon Wolves that have been registered and accepted. It requires Demon Magic to open it anyway, so unless you could fin a Demon Wolf to smuggle you across,’ he snorted to emphasize his point, ‘Its a lost cause. Or of course, you could become Demon Wolves yourself!’ He began to laugh. ‘Just because you’ve lasted this long in Demona, does not mean you’re immortal. At all.’ Torien pricked his ears at this. “You can come- If you dare!’
