and i'm writing a book, i'm thirteen it's not about manens though. x3 can't post now 'cause i'm only sneaking on for a few minutes O.o]

have faith, men!
...as if. There was only one man in his army and that was the commander alone. He was so used to commanding an army at his ease he forgot how to live alone. Constantly he'd be praised by his cheap army, weaklings, really--but eager to please. The only really strong one was him, himself, and he. Lumin alone. Lumin. Lu-min. His name echoed 'cross his large mind, gathering pieces of information. What a desert. He'd never had known that Earth--(was it Earth, anyway?)--had such a large desert. Quickly he narrowed his eyes at the swirling dust and saw a large party out in the distance. Some kind of army.
Another army to command? Eh?
Sounded nice to be honest. That army looked like... puppies? Really?! Were the pups stronger here than back where he was from? Could they really survive the harsh climate and factors of... eh... the desert? Surely not, without an adult they'd die.
allelujah. allelujah. another army.
He stalked forward, the bands of orange on his fur camouflaging with with sand. He looked like a Cheshire Cat; only the black parts of his fur showing brilliantly 'gainst the sun, the orange parts sinking into the sand. But, eh? Was that another adult hovering above the pack? Had another already claimed the army?
Ah, well. Better lowly then beat up, as they said; he lowered his prominent tail and slunk, slowly, into the army lands. He smothered an urge to shout, army! forward! face the enemy. and instead sat a ways away from the group in moderate silence. Soon he'd join the gang of puppies for his own gain; it wasn't much but it was an army. Right? After the conquering of other lands, he'd move forward in a vain attempt to finish his incomplete mission.
...
Hallelujah.

Scythe looked thorugh the dusty air. He sniffed, then recoiled. There was a wolf in the distance. He was watching them curiously, and it annoyed Scythe that the others hadn't yet scented him, not that he wasn't in plain sight. Maybe he should've found a different recruit and left Torien. He had hatred, but lacked any instinct. You could stre the wolf right in the eye and he wouldn't notice you. Pathetic. He looked over at the wolf once again. He had narrowed his eyes and had now fixed his hard gaze on him. Scythe padded over to him, and the other wolf studied him with untrusting eyes. It was Scythe who spoke first. 'Who are you?'

ooc: mwah? lumin? yeah... uh... probably lumin could notice another wolf watching him. but anyway. Lumin narrowed his eyes at the wolf. His breath would be wasted to no one. Perhaps he should have used his ability at the first sign of other wolf. Now another of the canine family had watched him in the desert. Bad omen, Lumin. Bad omen. He turned his head and stared at the other wolf, eyes narrowed, then...
A familiar wssh overcame him, and his bracelet glowed just for a moment. Now he was truly a Cheshire Cat, each part of his body disappearing until there was nothing left of his slim figure but a pair of yellow-orange eyes and a pulled grimace over his chin. Soon, his face figures disappeared, and Lumin was completely invisible.
He was gone.
At least, to the eyes of others. His pawprints disappeared with him, and he started to lumber away in the direction of the army. He'd be disturbed by no other wolf until he completed his mission...

{{lol actually scythe was saying that Torien and the others hadnt notice Lumar watching them}} Torien saw the whole thing. Scythe had been string hard at the wolf and all of a sudden he disappeared. Blown away in the wind. Torien lifted his nose and sniffed. He caught the strange wolf's scent and followed. It was becomeing more rapid. The wolf must have been running away. He followed it, and was aware of Scythe and the others trailing not far behind. Who was this wolf?

Aero growled something and glared at the overly talkative wolf. He shifted over and shoulder Death behind him, with Yoko so that he was face-to-face with the offending creature.
I've got everything you've got, and nothing less! So don't talk down to me! I'm older than you, and bigger!
Aero puffed himself up more, standing as tall as he could. He was, maybe just a centimeter higher than the Torien wolf when he did this. Yoko had looked up, and was watching the other wolves from behind his brother. His gaze was deep and morbid, unreadable. He was staring at Torien, who deeply unsettled the puny wolf that was Yoko. Death was only a white smudge in his peripheral vision, a wraith.
Aero, don't be so proud all the time. Look over there.
Yoko was referring to the chesire wolf who had so quietly and surreptitiously edged up to the group. Unfortunately; Yoko's sharp eyes hadn't yet picked up Akuma circling above them. He stared at the orange and black wolf in his unsettling way, with a cold anger.
Miku had been watching the group, when he felt the vibrations. They were coming from behind and to the left of him, and in suprise the white puppy jerked back into his fragile cave vantage point. He looked around, nose pointed to the ceiling in fearful suspense. The vibrations grew louder, and louder, and then stopped. Whatever it was was standing on his roof!
Miku held his breath, listening for the pinhead's fall. The sharp thump told him that the mystery wolf had sat down, and the dark shadow that fell across his eyes from the crack between the red slab of ceiling and wall was not comforting. There was an ominous crack--Miku just had time to convulse and then the top of his cave crumbled and fell into dusty ruin. He tried to scramble out of the way, but was instead pinned down by the bulk of the wolf who had been sitting on his roof. Miku scrabbled gamely, spitting violently like a cat in anger. Because he was angry; digging his claws into soil that just crumbled away.
Get--off me! You've ruined everything!

'Okay Mirelle, you know what to do!' The white-and gray told the femme beside him. She nodded in response, but before either of the wolves could move, the cave collapsed. The white wolf felt something move beneath him, and he jumped as the spitting formed into words. 'Get--off me! You've ruined everything!' Snowcap jumped. He had landed on a wolf. But before he could respond, he had to make sure Mirelle and the others were okay. He found Mirelle in a pie of rubber. She had some minor scratches but seemed okay. The other wolves around him began to get up and shake off their pelts, then turned to Snowcap, the leader of the pack, for guidance. He turned back to the white wolf he had fallen on top of and dipped his head in apology. 'I'm so sorry for landing on you. I had no idea there was even a cave beneath here! My name is Snowcap and this is my mate, Mirelle. Who are you?'

He twisted and squirmed away from the wolves, scrambling to his feet and spinning to face them. A stiff ridge of hair stood up all along his spine, and the puppy's blue eyes glittered like a feral cat's.
I'm Death Wish!
He stated, harks laid flat back along his white skull. The puppy's lips twitched, snarling the words in a child's voice. Stubby white-yellow claws scraped at the floor as he turned sharply and strode back and forth, watching the other wolves; practically frothing at the mouth.
I'll kill you! I could do it if I wanted to! His white banner swished and flicked behind him as he strode back and forth quickly. Little white grooves were left on the cave's soft rock floor from where he'd turned and dug them into the sandstone. He watched the dust lift into the sky from the hole in the top, and what remained of the ledge he'd so carefully scraped out to keep a lookout. Nothing left but crumbs of sand and rock. His paw hurt. Damn.
What are you doing here?? Don't you know what this is?
He demanded, finally turning and facing the two older, larger, and stronger wolves. None of this registered with the furious wolf, who barely came to Snowcap's shoulder. Not that it really mattered. Having lived on his own since Toniko, his mother, died Death Wish was leaner and more formidable than an ordinary puppy of his age. He had muscles on his slim legs and some mass to his lean frame. He was never going to be very large, though. Malnutrition and genes were all that was needed to know that.

Death narrowed his eyes at the intruders and puffed himself up. "You're no match for the three of us," he snarled. Alright, so the truth had been extended just a little bit, but it wasn't as if the other party was going to attack anyway. He looked away, as if he weren't about to waste eye power on the sore in front of him. Torien, blah blah blah, he wasn't going to survive the Demona anyway. With his shaggy black fur he'd never survive the heat.
But would Yoko and Aerokone, his temporary protection, be able to stand the heat? So far they proved useful. He turned his head back to Torien and narrowed his cold, black eyes. This pup was no easy matter. "And besides. You wouldn't have the... nerve... to fight us anyway." His grimace turned into a slight smirk.
Lumin stalked the herd and saw a lone white pup, who looked weak but strong at the same time. Next to the pup was another white wolf, but an adult; perhaps tackling this couple first would be easier then to conquer a whole pack at a time. He narrowed his eyes into slits and stalked on, unnoticed; he was, quite technically, invisible.
He could hear the puppy's boasts about how it could kill the adult. As if. The adult's name was... Snowcappe? Snowcap? What? Whatever. He was nearing the two and landed near the ruined cave. He suddenly sniffed, masking his scent. He'd observe the scene before trying to make friends. Lumin's intuition told him that this was a difficult pup.
Accidentally, his tail brushed against the pup's agitated shoulder.

Akuma watched the proceedings with growing ire. So...many....damn....wolves!! This was just getting to be too much! Akuma was debating how to announce his precense with the most damage when he caught sight of the small white pup. His build... Even from this height, he could see something...familiar...about the pup. Curious. Changing course, he flew lower, first making a pass over the main group to watch their reactions to the sudden massive shadow pass directly over them, then swooped in to land before the pup and the two wolves. He watched for their reactions as he folded his blood red wings along his back, to see if any knew what fate awaited him. Those who knew anything of Demona knew that the Demon named Akuma lived here, and those who knew anything of Akuma knew how to identify him. If his massive size didn't do it, his coloration would. Pelt of deepest black splashed as if with the blood of innocents and the horns and fangs stained with the blood of the countless lives he'd taken. Akuma, terror of Demona, had arrived.

The small wolf had been tearing off on another round of angry complaints when his eyes happened to alight on the distant group and see the shadow that passed over them. His eyes narrowed, he stopped and scooted backwards so as to have the sandstone wall more firmly at his back should it be needed. Moments later, a shape that Death Wish instantly recognized alighted in front of the other two wolves.
His eyes widened, and for a moment the puppy was Miku again in sheer wonder. But the effect was small and temporary. All too immediately he had steeled again and was looking up at the massive black and red demon as though approximating how much damage he was capable of.
I know you. He muittered, blue orbs searching out the orange lamps suspiciously. The small wolf had a feeling he knew what he would find there. The eyes of his mother, no doubt. The coloring of this massive brute certainly matched hers well enough.
Toniko. He said, testing out the name on this wolf. He tilted his dial, lamps narrowing into icy-cold slits in the narrow fox-face.

Burning orange lamps cast about, looking at all assembled, before at last alighting on the main object of his interest. Nary a hair twitched as the soft vocals made to his hearing. "I know you." So it wasn't just himself. Who was this pup? Eyes traveled him over, as if searching the little soul, picking out what was hidden from ordinary eyes. Was this pup the child of one he'd killed? There were so many, yet he still remembered each and every individual face. Then the pup uttered one more word. One single word that was the last thing he'd expected. "Toniko." His daughter. The missing one. Eyes sharpened and looked him over again, this time seeing what they'd sought. Deep, cold vocals sugarcoated in pleasantries were loosed thoughtfully. "So...she survived."

Lumin's eyes narrowed and he became visible once more, the familiar whoosh sound as his body reappeared. He sat still, his lean figure watching the black and red devil through mere slits of his brilliant pupils. The rippling breeze rifled his fur slightly and his head remained slightly askew, as if in a not-quite 90 degree pose. His paw, the one with the bracelet, twitched slightly as he lowered his gaze to the desert.
He was an army commander and he knew strong from weak. This brute and this puppy were, somehow, connected through a wolf called... Toniko. So. The plot thickened.
may I ask for your acquaintance.
In a level tone, his tail dropped low to the ground, he started to speak. Easily could the black-and-red brute tear him apart. Best start as a scully maid then a dead flab of meat. This ally, this pup and this brute, would make a good conquering team. He wrinkled his nose in disgust for the danger they would provide him. But that was what he had chosen.
