Adulthood....is this what it feels like? Growing up without parents you can never really tell when you're ready for....different things than being a pup. Her voice is lower, she feels like she's on stilts...
The first thing to being an adult was to at least get some friends right?...Well, Marie had none. Except Kelil....he's very nice. And another thing is to fall in love... Is that fun? I've never really experienced it before.... And then... Is that when I die? Boy, this is hard. Marie wished she had help with this....but who in the world would she ask? Everyone here would think she's weird for asking a complete stranger about where puppies come from!Boy, I wish my parents were here. Marie pushed down her rear to the cold ice and stared in a slab of ice across from her. She looked older already. Marie sighed and pushed her head to the slab. This is harder than I need it to be.

Vidar was walking along the plateau of ice, thinking his thoughts. He was distracted when he thought he saw something moving up ahead. You're seeing things, he told himself. Vidar was bored of the ice and snow; he hadn't seen another wolf in days, since separating from his father and two sisters. None of them had wanted him to leave but he felt like it was just something he had to do in order to truly grow up. He was almost an adult, almost full grown, and he was very proud of his new wings (neither of his sisters had wings - they had been very jealous when Vidar's had first begun to grow out of his back). Just as he was smiling and thinking about his sisters he bumped head-on into something warm and furry. Oh, said Vidar. Sorry for running into you.... but you kind of blend in.

(omg yay~ XD) Maire's head snapped upward as she was brushed against by the familiar warmness of another manen. She looked up at him, and the first thing she saw were his chocolate eyes, then she felt weird....sick almost...
What is this? I'm not going to be sick am I? Marie, upon getting this feeling bout her head back against the slab of ice. I-It's alright. Marie said. She meant to say it as she always did...but it sounded more like Marie was experiencing an earthquake head-on. This....This isn't what love feels like...is it?

Vidar was concerned when she laid her head on the ice. Her eyes looked troubled. He said, Are you sure you're okay? You look kinda sick. For the few seconds he had seen her face, he had noticed her emerald colored eyes and her gorgeous coat. Her pelt was a pure and flawless white. Looking at her, Vidar developed a strange feeling in the pit of his stomach. It was warm and strangely fuzzy, but he thought that he like it. It made Vidar feel like giggling. He felt this odd affection very suddenly. He sat in front of her and asked, Are you sure you're not sick or something?

Marie blushed against the slab of ice as she saw him though it on the other side.
I-I'm alright. Really.
She glanced up at him without moving her head. He looked concerned as anyone could be. She didn't understand why he was troubled because of her though. She was only a stranger. They didn't even know each other's names.
My name is Marie. She said, in a slight whisper. She hoped he heard her.

I'm Vidar, said the brown-gray brute, smiling warmly. He watched the white femme intently with his rich brown eyes. Vidar sat down near her and folded his wings down beside his back. He didn't know quite what to say next so he asked, Are you out here alone? Traveling by yourself? He hoped in a way that she was, but also for her own sake that she wasn't. If she was alone, she had been in danger until Vidar had met up with her. That odd protective sensation returned and gave Vidar a deep chill. He shivered a little and set his gaze on Marie, waiting for her answer.

Marie slowly nodded her head, and removed her head from the slab of ice. I'm Alone. I've traveled by myself for many moons now.
Marie lifted her black, wet nose to the skies. The sun momentarily peeked from it's blanket of clouds but quickly hid again. Being alone never made anyone strong, it just makes you... The clouds covered up the sky quickly, like an elephant stampede going across a grassy African plain.
Marie's thoughts were clouded as well, covering up her puppy side were memories of her family...they were lost... Naive....
A flake of snow landed on her ebony nose.

Hmmm, said Vidar, agreeing without really saying anything. Once again, he didn't know how to reply. Words were never one of Vidar's strengths. He thought to himself, You're alone...I could change that. He smiled a little at this thought, trying to imagine Marie's reaction to the words he wish he could say. He would never have said those words aloud though. Vidar was never very confident, especially with his relationships with others.

Marie looked over at Vidar and thought to herself, Why is he smiling? She looked at him curiously, her mouth slightly open. He seemed to be in a daze. Are you okay? She asked. She felt more comfortable when she didn't look into his eyes, or at him even, but she would keep staring at the spot right next to his left ear until he answered.

Huh? Oh.. Yeah, I'm fine.. just kind of daydreaming. I'm great actually, said Vidar, looking directly at her. He thought it was odd that she almost refused to look at him as her emerald eyes darted around in efforts to avoid meeting his own chocolate-colored ones. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable (he liked her a lot) so he just gazed at his blue paws. They contrasted greatly with the solid white ice. Vidar was feeling the cold now, and as he looked around he noticed that it was snowing rather heavily. I love the snow, he said, hoping that he would be able to start a conversation with Marie.

Marie looked up in the sky again. The snow began to fall almost rapidly now, and a slightly harsh breeze began to tilt the snowflakes awkwardly.
I grew up in a winter wonderland. Marie glanced at him as the breeze began to blow a bit harder. It took her a while to realize that she was staring directly into his deep brown eyes, and when she did, she blushed and turned her head away to the snowy hills of the east. That feeling is back...
You know Vidar, Marie began with a little smile, her stomach felt like it would explode with the urge to snuggle next to him, My mother used to say that eyes are a window to the soul.
In that case, he's got the most beautiful soul I've ever seen. Marie thought, laying her head down on her paws. If she had the guts, she'd say it, but was it the right thing to say? Should she even think that at all?

(ooc: sorry its short but I had a final paper to write for school) Thats interesting, said Vidar in response to Marie's comment about the eyes. He tilted his head curiously. Vidar looked into Marie's eyes, trying to determine what they said about her soul. He was growing increasingly cold and unfolded his wings to try and warm up a little.

Marie squinted as the snow fell quicker, and the wind blew harder. She noticed Vidar huddling close to himself in the cold.
I bet we could manage to find a cave or something, V-Vidar. Now Marie seemed to be shivering too.
She stood and trotted towards the snowy abyss, but then paused and looked back, I'm only going if you come with me. She blinked and stared at his Chocolate back.
I'm not leaving you here.

Vidar rose, unfolding his wings and shook off the snow that had settled on his thick brown pelt. He grinned slightly at the thought of Marie not leaving without him. That fluttery feeling was back. Good idea, he said to Marie. But do you think we'll be able to find one? He strained and squinted his eyes as he tried to determine in which direction the caves were located. He began to walk beside her, glancing down at her every few minutes. He shivered again and moved closer to Marie, who walked purposefully at his right.

Marie blushed and looked at her feet, engulfed in the deep snow that had settled days before. She smiled at the furry warmness on her side. It seemed to Marie that it wasn't cold anymore.
There, right up ahead. Do you see it Vidar? Marie looked right at a small opening, the sides of it coated with thick icicles. The opening was nothing but solid sapphire.
I sure hope it's warm in that cave with all the ice. Marie stated, Glancing over at Vidar without moving her head. She knew it would be warm with Vidar by her side.
