Marie smiled and said, No, no, not at all. She looked up and over at the cave with what seemed to be intrest and relief. They were only a few steps from entering warmth. This cave was different from the other though,as there were no icicles or snow, only gray rock.
Marie leaped into the cave, her paws nearly numb from the cold snow. She sighed, relieved, and turned her bodes to explore the cave...but there was not much to see. it was only about 20 ft in length....and the back wall was closer than she would've hoped, but it was good enough to get a small amount of warmth.
Well, this is a slight dissapointment... but I suppose it's good enough. Marie said, looking at the celing of their concealed shelter and smiling.

I think it will do. Vidar moved ahead, making his way to the back of the cave. He looked around happily and sat down near the far end of the cave. He laid down and yawned. Vidar put his head on his paws, closed his eyes and smiled. It feels so good to just lie down, he said. Vidar sighed deeply and relaxed his tired muscles.

The fae smoothly walked over to the edge of the gray shelter and laid down, her paws crossed and her head resting upon them, looking outward at the lightly falling snow. She sighed lightly and closed her eyes in an attempt to get at least some rest, but it was useless. Too much was on her mind, and she had a feeling it wouldn't get off very soon. She reopened them and scowled out at the snow, but it calmed Marie slightly, and she was drifting backwards into her thoughs.

(Lemoney, this is my other account. Just didn't feel like logging in as Alloy tonight, plus I'm trying to decide which user name I like better.) Vidar looked out onto the empty plateau. The snow was slowing down and the sun was starting to fade in the distance. He was almost asleep when he heard Marie sigh. He opened his eyes a little to peek at her. She looked restless. Are you alright? You seem bothered, Vidar commented. He tilted his head and looked at her, awaiting an answer. It was now entirely dark outside. The white snow contrasted beautifully against the cold black night. It reminded Vidar of Marie's pure white fur and her rich emerald eyes.

Hmm? Marie looked back at Vidar with what looked like innocence, though it was really nothing of the sort. Oh, well...There is something, but I don't think you'd care...
Her mind was screaming at her...You aren't old enough...how do you even know this is love? She shook her head and bit her own leg in frustration. Her mind was empty as she tasted her own blood. She licked it off her maw and ate some of the snow to get the taste out, and realizing her mistake, dunking her leg in the snow as well.
I'm sorry...it's really nothing.

Vidar was young and not very wise, but he could tell that Marie did not want to speak whatever was on her mind. Still, he was a little disappointed and sighed, Okay. We should try and get some sleep then. Vidar moved closer to Marie, enjoying her comforting warmth and her smell. Then he got that odd fluttery feeling again. Vidar suddenly became uncomfortable and his whole body stiffened. He shivered, but it had nothing to do with the cold. Vidar wanted so badly to be close to Marie, but was afraid of doing the wrong thing and upsetting her or offending her with something he said. He let his mind wander, and it soon was filled with thoughts of Marie. The thing she had said about the eyes being the window into the soul returned to him. Her soul, then, must be rich and deep and.... Vidar looked into her eyes and found more words to describe them: flawlessly beautiful. He released an aggravated sigh. I can't sleep, he said as he turned to face her. Vidar got a small chill when he looked into her eyes.

The snowy female looked at Vidar through the corner of her eye, and seeing him looking at her, she felt herself blush all over. She, too, wanted to be close to him...but was it right? Was it wrong? Marie held her breath and scooted towards him, half smiling and half embarrassed. Her stomach made her feel like she was going to either puke or explode, but as she felt Vidar's warm chocolate fur against her, she lost all interest in what was going on in her stomach.
Marie closed her eyes and smiled fully, curling into somewhat of an oval shape. Vidar's breathing was slow and soothing, and she found herself to almost be falling asleep.

Vidar smiled widely when Marie moved close to him. He had never been so excited and anxious before. Vidar found that he was holding his breath as Marie nudged toward him. He stayed still as she did, and when she was finished he relaxed and allowed himself to breath again. Her breathing became soft and regular. She had fallen asleep beside him. Vidar curled around her slightly, covering her white tail with his bushy blue-tipped one. He was soon easing into a blissful and dreamless sleep.

ooc|| congrats on 100 posts :) Drowsily, Marie opened her eyes. How long was I asleep? must've been at least 3 hours or so.. The sun was now visible, and compared to the storm earlier in the day, it was heaven. The snow sparkled contently, while the yellow star seemed to smile down at her. But besides that, she had had a nice nap, and thanks to her crush, she had a lovely dream about them both...running through fields of yellow flowers...and they were with Marie's parents and all so very joyous...
She looked over at Vidar, and slowly moved out from beside him, trying not to wake the slumbering lupine. When she was a few feet from him she stretched and yawned, only to lay back down and wait for her friend to wake up.

ooc: Thanks! I hadn't even realized the number of posts I had until you said that ; ) When Marie stirred beside him, Vidar began to wake up slowly. He rose from his place on the floor, and seeing that Marie was already awake he smiled at her. He stepped toward the mouth of the cave and was happily surprised with the change in the weather. His yellow earring and bracelets glinted in the warm sunlight. Vidar went back into the cave and asked Marie, How did you sleep?

She raised her head to look up at him when he spoke, and she smiled when he said those words, remembering her dream. Heavenly, she said. How about you?
She studied him while she waited for reply, Vidar looked very strong, He was probably a good hunter. Which brought the thought of food to her head...Was there any at all?

Vidar replied, I slept pretty well. But now I'm starving. Do you think there is anything to eat around here? Vidar went to the mouth of the cavern once more and he saw nothing but the sun in the sky and a vast expanse of flat white ice. He suddenly caught the scent of a small animal. His eyes widened and all the muscles in his body tensed. Seconds later his brown hunter's eyes located his prey on the plateau: it was a pure white rabbit. Vidar sprang and all of his body was spurred onto the ice. For traction he dug his claws in as he ran. He chased the rabbit, gaining ground quickly. The large chocolate wolf cornered his prey in a nearby cave and emerged seconds later with his white prize dangling from his mouth. Vidar trotted back to the cave with his head held high. He set the rabbit down in front of Marie. Breakfast, he said to her, panting heavily from the hunt.

Marie blushed and looked at the male, smiling pleasantly. She didn't really know herself how to kill for breakfast, as she had always managed to find scraps of deer and such laying around. With some hesitation, she rubbed her charcoal nose against his own, and ripped off one if it's hind legs, taking the whole side of it with her.
She licked the side of the fur before flipping it over and nibbling at it nearly ravenously. Thank you, Vidar, she said, The beginning of the hind leg bode crunching between her canines.

You're welcome. Vidar sat a few feet away while Marie ate. He held his muzzle in the air, satisfied with himself. Vidar was proud of his hunting skills. It had taken him quite a few frustrating years to be able to catch prey successfully. He watched as the femme eagerly devoured the white rabbit. Vidar would let her eat and then quiet his own growling belly with whatever she didn't take.

Marie smiled as she devoured, and then paused briefly with somewhat of a confused look upon her face, studying the bloody rabbit. She closed her eyes briefly, and then smiled in a cool kind of tone, clenching the rabbit in her petite jaws and tossing it over to the beautiful male. it landed with a disgusting squishy plop right in front of the male's gray paws.
She looked up at him and smiled again, this time her smile was loving. Marie was never a heavy eater, and really only ate what she needed to survive, not so that she was stuffed so full she couldn't move. Here, eat this. It's half of what I had, so we'd be equally hungry when the time came.
